Sliabh Luachra Summer Camp.
July 21st -> August 1st
An action packed programme for children aged between 7 and 17 with an emphasis on the traditions and culture of the Sliabh Luachra area. Music and dance lessons included. Summer Camp runs from 21st of July until August 1st . Activities begin at 10 am and conclude each day at 2:30pm. * * * * * * * * *
Sliabh Luachra Summer School.
August 5th -> 10th
Immerse yourself in the enchanting culture of Sliabh Lucahra during the Sliabh Luachra Summer School. You will enjoy a selection of talks and seminars from local historians which will be nicely rounded off with evenings of traditional step dancing, singing and music. There will also be concerts and singing nights to celebrate the melodic sound of Sliabh Luachra through the ages.
Tuesday 5th: Music classes with Nickie McAuliffe, Ann McAuliffe & Dan Herlihy from 10am until 2:30pm. Seisiún at 9pm. Wednesday 6th: Music classes from 10am until 2:30pm. Ceilí Dancing classes from 3pm to 6pm. Cork, Kerry, Limerick Singing night begins at 8:30pm Thursday7th: Music classes from 10am until 2:30pm. Singing classes with Karen Trench from 3pm to 6pm. Ceilí Dancing classes begin at 8:30pm Friday 8th: Music classes from 10am until 2:30pm. Singing classes from 3pm to 6pm. Sliabh Luachra Concert begins at 9pm Saturday 9th:
A conference on 'Our Heritage' begins at 2pm.
A talk on 'The Importance of Folklore' will be presented by Professor Dathaí Ó hÓgan
A talk on 'The Magic of our Celtic Festivals' will be presented by Fr. Sean Ó Duinn, OSB Gelnstall Abbey.
Exhibition and explanation of old Irish step dances.
Ceilí at Bruach Na Carraige begins at 9pm and to round off the night there will be a Seisiún at Scully's Bar, Newmarket from 10pm
Sunday 11th:
Monster Open Air Music Session will be held near the home of Padraig O'Keeffe at Glountane Cross beginning at 2:30pm
Monster Youth Music Session will be held at Bruach Na Carraige heritage centre at 8:30pm

Every Tuesday of July and August, enjoy an evening of Music, Song and Dance with the Bruach Na Carraige group. This is an informal evening's entertainment with special emphasis on the culture of the Sliabh Luachra area with much participation from the audience. Free refreshments are provided and an enjoyable evening is guaranteed.
Feale Valley Traditional Festivals 2008
If you are unable to attend the Sliabh Luachra Summer School at Bruach Na Carraige (August 5th-10th), you will be delighted to hear there are some other excellent festivals organised in the region during the coming months where you can sample the delights of traditional music and dance. - Sliabh Luachra Summer School is being held at Bruach Na Carraige from August 5th to 10th
- Harvest Festival of Ireland is being held in Listowel on August 19th
- Féile Lios Tuathail is being held in Listowel from October 3rd to 5th
- Neilus O'Connor Festival is being held in Knocknagoshel from November 21st to 23rd
